It’s still lovely and sunny here at the moment - advantage of no April showers = wearing sundresses, yey!
Dress - TU @ Sainsburys (no, really! plus, it was 25% off :D)
Cardi - Primark
Necklace - Forever21
Side-on photo
One of the hardest things for me to overcome when i started really wanting to love myself was coming to terms with what my body looks like from all angles.
How many pictures do you see of ‘before’ and ‘after’ weight-loss from the side?
Or in diet-aid adverts, where the slim actor looks in the mirror side-on, smooths a hand over her stomach and laments about how her tummy sticks out just the tiniest bit?
As i type this both of my parents have ‘thinspiration’ photos of themselves on the fridge- both are side-on photos of them at their heaviest.
How about when you sit down? I know I’m not the only one who’s had years of being paranoid about rolls and how my clothes look when i sit and whether or not i should cross my legs even if it’s uncomfortable.
I think as fat people we’re taught to be so deeply ashamed of our bodies, and i hate that, so here is my side-on profile.
That’s my belly and that’s my arm and this what i look like. And it’s real beautiful.
